That was the coldest it got in the winter in Houma 2 winters ago, and this is only fall.
Can I say that I'm super excited for it to be cold though? I love it so so much!
But in other news, I wanted to document the time we went ahead and tried Sticky Fingers Bakery in DC.
Its a vegan and gluten free bakery/cafe!
aka, I could eat pretty much anything there which is awesome.
I also wanted to try something completely out of the ordinary for me, which was fake meat.
I'm a meat and potatoes kind of girl, so this was new.
The hubby really didn't want to do it, but he did for me.
So it was a lot smaller than I expected, but it was cute and retro!
I ordered the gluten free TLT (tempeh bacon, lettuce, and tomato wrap)
and the mister ordered some asian style wrap.
I really liked mine and was surprised it wasn't meat! It tasted like bacon, but a lot lighter than bacon.
I also got a gluten free cupcake, which tasted super good, but because its filled with sugar, made me feel yucky.
I was sorta dissapointed with the fact they only offered 2 flavors for gluten free, and yet 10 vegan flavors. Mine was just chocolate, but would have loved to get a fancy one. So I'm still on the hunt for a great place that offers more gluten and vegan cupcakes!
We then drove around a bit near Rock Park which was super pretty.
And then some of the houses downtown were so cute I just had to take some quick snapshots!
It was a great afternoon date with my hubby and I will cherish it always!
This was also the day we saw the FREE piano that we now have.
So thankful to have a piano again and just maybe I'll play a song and record it for you all to hear?
